Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience and AWHONN Intermediate certification for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Care for Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Epic charting system used
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active OK state or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• ACLS and STABLE certifications preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring
• Experience assisting with high risk and vaginal deliveries
• Experience with newborn care, including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Support high-risk antepartum patients and manage conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor
• Assist with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Provide postpartum care including breastfeeding support, fundus and lochia assessment, and wound care
• Perform newborn assessments, discharge teaching, and metabolic screening
• Brief orientation provided for floating assignments
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
