Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 13 L&D rooms and 2 ORs
• Approximately 200 deliveries per month
• Adult obstetric patient population including preterm and pregnancy cases
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• Every other weekend required
• Possible floating within the Women's Service Line

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with postpartum care, cesarean section recovery, couplet care, and vaginal delivery
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, circulating and recovering C-sections, and sterile vaginal exams
• Newborn care experience including cord care, infant identification, newborn assessment, and thermoregulation
• Experience with antepartum care and obstetrical triage
• Proficient in external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
• Experience with medication administration including insulin drips and Pitocin
• IV therapy/phlebotomy and central line maintenance skills required

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
• Facility provides scrubs
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
• No RTO requests permitted during orientation week or after offer/onsite
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Past Piedmont employees must be separated for one full year before returning as a travel RN
