Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or OB nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• MEDITECH experience preferred, but not required
• 2 supervisory references required

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery setting
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to promote safe, positive birth outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Work scheduled night shifts and every other weekend as part of the unit coverage plan
• Maintain a calm, compassionate approach while delivering excellent bedside care
