Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

This is a night shift position, requiring 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Shifts are scheduled every other weekend, with holiday coverage required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit will provide care for laboring patients with high acuity. The role involves critical care management, support during high-risk deliveries, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess laboring patients' conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as per protocols.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Perform neonatal assessments and resuscitations when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team during patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current RN license is required for submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
