Job Description:

The RN in Labor/Delivery will be responsible for managing Level II maternity patients, including the interpretation of EFM, SVEs, and IV starts. The role includes managing Magnesium Sulfate and titrating Pitocin. The RN will operate within a unit following AWHONN guidelines and utilize various RT equipment like Cpap. There is a requirement for on-call hours and participation in a 4-week schedule program with specific weekend and holiday commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret EFM and perform SVEs.
• Manage IV starts and titrate drips such as Pitocin.
• Manage RT equipment, including Cpap, and assist with vent start and transport.
• Provide coverage and collaborate with OB Techs and front desk scheduler.

Requirements:

• Current BLS and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (not via AWHONN).
• Experience with EFM interpretation, SVEs, IV starts, and managing Magnesium Sulfate.
• Understanding of and ability to perform sterile techniques for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
