Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring high-risk L&D experience and C-EFM certification through NCC.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• High-risk L&D patient population
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Call requirement of 36 hours per 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period, with ability to be on premises within 45 minutes of receiving call
• Floating required within skillset to Mom/Baby and postpartum units

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and C-EFM through NCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience within the last 7 years required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Circulating, fetal heart monitoring, and preceptor/charge experience required
• Triage experience preferred
• Mother/baby and postpartum experience preferred
• Skilled in assisting with high-risk deliveries and circulating for C-sections
• Experienced in recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experienced in antepartum care, procedures, and obstetrical patient triage

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including high-risk antepartum and fetal monitoring
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients
• Candidates residing within 60 miles may be considered as local applicants at a different rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Previous employees of the facility must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
