Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Administer medications and manage labor processes, including epidurals and Pitocin.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk and multiple births.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
• Conduct newborn assessments and provide postpartum care, including breastfeeding support.
• Educate and support parents with discharge teaching and newborn care instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 1-2.
• Strong skills in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
