• Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36-hour weekly option available, with a 48-hour option also noted
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Float: May be required to postpartum
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in Labor & Delivery or a closely related obstetric setting
• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred/required per unit needs
• Strong experience with high-risk obstetric patients, including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Ability to support a high-risk Labor & Delivery environment and adapt to changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns in a high-risk obstetric setting
• Support OB triage, postpartum care, and Level II special care nursery workflows
• Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and other complex pregnancies at 34 weeks gestation and greater
• Assist with C-sections, external cephalic versions, and related obstetric procedures
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Provide safe, patient-centered education and support for mothers and families throughout the birth experience
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to promote positive outcomes in a busy maternity environment
• Deliver skilled clinical care while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strong nursing judgment
