Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM
• Experience with charting systems required
• Ability to support high-risk obstetrical care, labor and delivery procedures, and maternal-newborn nursing care
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Travel RN experience is welcomed, and first-time travel nurses are accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for laboring patients and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Triage obstetrical patients and support high-risk antepartum care
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections
• Recover C-section patients and monitor mothers throughout the postpartum process
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and support clinical decision-making during labor
• Manage and maintain central lines, including CVC and PICC care
• Support therapies such as anticoagulation, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate
• Use IUPC placement and calibration skills as needed
• Follow isolation precautions and maintain a safe, compassionate patient care environment
