Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients including SVD, C-sections, twin deliveries, and high-risk obstetrical cases
• Assist with scheduled and non-scheduled emergent procedures including C-Hysterectomy, D&C, D&E, and Massive Transfusion protocols
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate tracings using electronic fetal monitoring in accordance with AWHONN Intermediate EFM standards
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 based on acuity and transition needs
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps; document care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill expected 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period; no call required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or eligibility to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in High-Risk OB / Labor & Delivery
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• BLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification required
• CPI certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders (PASD)
• Experience with Massive Transfusion Protocol in an obstetrical setting
• Familiarity with CPN and Meditech EMR platforms
• Highly engaged, team-oriented approach with a positive and intentional practice style
