Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating and recovering C-sections.
• Administer and manage medications such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and Terbutaline.
• Perform postpartum care, including fundus, lochia, and perineum management.
• Conduct newborn assessments and provide breastfeeding/lactation support.
• Utilize fetal monitoring equipment, including EFM and IUPC, for patient assessments.
• Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Active New York Single State RN or LPN license.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM Certification.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and alternating shifts.
• Ability to float within skillset as needed.
