Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of L&D experience and EFM certification (NCC or AWHONN).

Details

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• Low-risk labor and delivery care with fewer than 100 facility births per month
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 13-week contract assignment
• No float requirements, though travelers are first to float if needed
• No call requirements
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• EPIC charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required
• Current BLS, NRP certifications required
• EFM-NCC or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Skilled in fetal heart rate monitoring, cervical exams, and antepartum/postpartum care
• Experience with high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and obstetrical medication administration (e.g., Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate)

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including scrubbing and recovery care
• Manage high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor
• Perform neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and newborn resuscitation support
• Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring equipment, including IUPC placement
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces with no pass required
• Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed per contract; no RTO permitted during initial weeks of assignment
• Local candidates accepted
• Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center location to qualify for travel rate
• Returning RNs must have a 366-day separation from prior OhioHealth employment before accepting a travel assignment
• PRN employees currently active with the health system are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Attendance policy is strict: more than one call-off may result in termination, and no call/no show results in immediate termination
