Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of strong labor nursing experience and the ability to circulate C-sections independently.

Details

• LDRP unit including High Risk/Antepartum care
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (0700-1930)
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Possible rare floating to NICU as helping hands
• Facility performs over 300 births per month
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact), IN or compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate and ACLS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Must be a strong labor nurse with recent hands-on labor experience
• Must be able to independently circulate own C-Sections
• Prior travel experience required, though first-timers with experience in a similar facility may be considered
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and external fetal monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experience in antepartum care and obstetrical triage

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care including assisting with vaginal deliveries and circulating C-sections
• Deliver postpartum care for patients following cesarean and vaginal deliveries
• Must be willing to float within scope of experience within the hospital
• Seal Blue scrub color required
• Must live more than 50 miles from all CHN facilities to be considered non-local
• RTO must be submitted with original application, with a maximum of 10 days considered
• Returning travelers are welcome back without a waiting period between contracts
