Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Labor & Delivery unit requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience along with NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Closed specialty unit within a Family Center service line featuring 16 LDRP rooms
• C-section suite and PACU located on the L&D unit
• 4-bed Special Care Nursery on the unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• No floating to units outside of Family Center required
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Dedicated support staff including preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation consultant

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• L&D and mother/baby nursing experience required

• Unit is recognized for process improvement initiatives including the Eat, Sleep, Console program and validated prenatal screening tools now used across EPIC nationwide
• Participates in statewide and national quality improvement collaborations with other hospitals
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
• Previous staff must have a 1-year gap before returning to the facility
• Candidates with a DUI/DWI within the past year will not be accepted; other background items reviewed case by case
• RTO must be listed on application and approved prior to confirmation
