• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Call Requirement: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 during labor; 1:1-8 for postpartum/couplets

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or compact licensure at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certification
• NIHSS required or obtainable after acceptance
• Experience with electronic health records; Cerner experience preferred
• Strong skills in labor support, postpartum care, triage, and high-risk obstetric delivery assistance
• Ability to float as needed and work effectively in a fast-paced maternal-child unit

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor patient status and support individualized care plans for mothers and newborns
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and provide recovery care
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and support common obstetric interventions as needed
• Manage therapies such as magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, anticoagulation, and antihypertensives
• Support triage, patient education, and clear communication with the healthcare team
• Follow unit policies, safety standards, and floating guidelines while adapting to changing patient needs
