• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Setting: High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210
• Schedule Notes: May be required to float to related women’s health or postpartum units as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• IV start experience required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-moving clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery
• Monitor labor progress and support patients through vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Perform fetal monitoring, including interpretation of tracing patterns and use of EFM
• Assist with triage, antepartum care, postpartum recovery, and high-risk obstetrical support
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications and blood products, and support infusion therapies as ordered
• Provide care for patients receiving magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and other common L&D interventions
• Support bedside procedures such as sterile vaginal exams, cord sample collection, and C-section recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes and efficient unit flow
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical organization throughout the shift
• Float to related units within the organization as needed based on patient care needs
