Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive maternal care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Four operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• 91-day travel assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (required)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required)
• Epic electronic charting experience required; electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred
• Experience with newborn assessment, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, and medication administration including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Labor and Delivery coverage
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
