Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 40-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ births per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive maternal care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Advanced practice environment with 4 operating rooms and all types of high-risk deliveries
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and interpretation services
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with patient ratios of 1-2 patients per nurse
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetrical experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience required (electronic fetal monitoring/OBIX)
• Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Must function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care including assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with high-risk procedures including magnesium sulfate, heparin, insulin drips, and neonatal resuscitation
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
