Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries including high-risk obstetrics
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide comprehensive newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate for cesarean sections and perform newborn assessments, medication administration, and immediate care
• Six-month contract with 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Epic electronic charting experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse, circulate for cesarean sections, and provide newborn care including vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and heparin administration
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
