Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required
- ACLS preferred
- Epic experience required
- Experience with obstetrical nursing, high-risk deliveries, and maternal-newborn care strongly preferred
- Ability to support scheduled holiday coverage as required by the assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for patients in Labor & Delivery, OB triage, and related obstetrical care areas
- Care for patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, high-risk antepartum needs, and post-operative recovery
- Assist with circulating for C-sections, OB-GYN procedures, pre-op, post-op, and scrub support as needed
- Attend deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support safe maternal and newborn outcomes
- Administer and monitor blood products, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate therapy
- Perform triage assessments, fetal monitoring support, and ongoing patient education
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maintain safety, efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes
- Adapt to float assignments within postpartum or NICU based on experience and unit needs
