Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS preferred
• Must be comfortable floating based on skill set, including Post-Partum and NICU
• Strong knowledge of obstetric care, maternal-fetal monitoring, triage, and high-risk delivery support

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate Labor & Delivery nursing care for patients experiencing labor and preterm labor
• Support triage, circulating, scrub, pre-op, and post-op needs in the obstetrics unit
• Attend routine and high-risk deliveries
• Assist with C-sections, including circulating and recovery support
• Administer and monitor blood products, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, magnesium sulfate, insulin, and other ordered therapies
• Deliver skilled maternal and fetal nursing care with a focus on patient safety
• Accurately document patient care in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide patient education, support, and compassionate bedside care throughout the birthing process
