Experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a travel nursing assignment in Seattle, WA 98122. • Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Schedule Notes: Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; flexibility to support unit needs is important

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Current BLS and NRP required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to circulate and provide newborn care is required
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity maternal-child health environment
• Ability to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and nearby sister units as needed
• Willingness to work every other weekend and select holidays as assigned
• Active compact or applicable state license must be in hand at submission
• Two professional references covering the last year are required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
• Monitor high-risk pregnancies and support safe, timely interventions
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with operative deliveries
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to Postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, including eyes, thighs, and vital medication administration per protocol
• Support electronic fetal monitoring and recognize changes requiring intervention
• Administer and monitor therapies such as Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, and Heparin per orders and policy
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, recoveries, and postpartum transitions of care
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain safe staffing standards and excellent patient outcomes
• Float to related areas such as Postpartum or Antepartum when needed to support patient care
