Join a high-volume Labor & Delivery team in Seattle’s vibrant First Hill area with this 26-week Travel RN opportunity. This high-acuity maternity nursing role offers the chance to support laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients while working alongside a collaborative maternal-child care team.

• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Unit Highlights: 31 beds, average daily census of 15, 4 ORs, EPIC charting
• Coverage Expectations: Weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Float: May float to postpartum, antepartum, or other nearby maternal-child care areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) charting required
• BLS and NRP required
• ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring, newborn assessments, and circulating for C-sections
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, patient advocacy, and bedside nursing skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Circulate for cesarean deliveries and assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries
• Serve as baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, including eyes/thighs care and APGAR support
• Monitor fetal status and assist with recognition and response to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Support high-risk obstetric patients and collaborate with the care team to promote safe maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Deliver care consistent with unit standards and AWHONN-guided practices
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining excellent bedside care
• Support postpartum and antepartum coverage when floated within scope
