Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active MA RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
• Unit includes 5 L&D rooms, 12 Postpartum beds, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• Clinician to patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural patients; Postpartum 1:3-4
• Responsibilities include Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, circulating, and newborn care
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 36 or 48-hour shifts on Nights with every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Primarily a Day rotation position with rotation to Evenings and Nights as needed; straight Days not available
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and EFM (renewed every 2 years for L&D)
• ACLS preferred
• All certifications must be AHA only
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery settings, including circulating duties
• Local candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of Boston, MA to be eligible, with a reduced pay rate applying to local candidates
• Parking is not validated at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking (approximately $17-$22 daily) required
