Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550 deliveries per month and 31 patient rooms
• Comprehensive maternal services including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services
• 26-week assignment (October 2026 - April 2027) with 36-40 hours of orientation
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate high-risk experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience with high-risk patient populations required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with newborn assessments, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration required
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum units, and potentially sister facilities as needed
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
