• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Medford, OR 97504
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with level 1 maternity and newborn services
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Orientation: Included prior to start
• Charting System: Epic
• Float: May float between units based on staffing needs
• Call: May be placed on call for low census

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for assignment in Oregon
• Compact RN license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and STABLE
• Experience with cesarean section support, LDRP care, obstetrical triage, and fetal monitoring
• Ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience with sterile vaginal exams, vaginal deliveries, and circulating for C-sections
• Comfort providing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients
• Ability to work every other weekend and three of the five designated holidays
• Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and flexibility to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care across the full spectrum of Labor & Delivery services
• Support triage, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care for a diverse patient population
• Assist with cesarean sections and maintain readiness for operating room support
• Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring systems
• Perform and support clinical assessments, including sterile vaginal exams and labor progression evaluations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and newborns
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a unit that values teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered practice
• Float to nearby sister facilities or other units as needed based on census and staffing demands
