We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse who is confident in labor management, fetal monitoring, and newborn care at delivery. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays
• Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and occasionally nearby units as needed
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-acuity women’s health or obstetrics environments
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1-2
• Ability to work with OB, postpartum, and newborn care workflows

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns during delivery
• Function as the baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support operative deliveries
• Perform newborn assessments, including eyes and thighs, and administer routine newborn care
• Monitor patients using electronic fetal monitoring and respond to changes in fetal status
• Manage medications and interventions commonly used in L&D, such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin protocols
• Support high-risk antepartum and postpartum transitions as needed
• Collaborate closely with the care team to maintain a calm, efficient, and family-centered environment
• Deliver care in alignment with AWHONN-guided staffing and best practices
