**Exciting Opportunity: RN - Labor and Delivery (Contract)** **Job Description:** - Location: SAMC, Floor 2 North, Labor and Delivery - Shift: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period required - Call Requirements: None **Unit Overview:** - **Number of Beds:** - 12 Labor and Delivery Beds - 5 Ante Partum Beds - 4 OBED - 3 OR Rooms - **Staffing:** - Total Staff: 72 (Nursing, CST, and Schedulers) - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2 CSTs, 1 Scheduler - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Scheduler - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:2 and 1:1 based on transition and acuity - **Equipment & EMR:** - Alaris Pumps, CADD Epidural Pumps - EMR: CPN and Meditech **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have:** - CST Certification - Minimum 2 years of experience in High Risk OB - RN with at least 3 years of experience in High Risk OB - Current certification in Advanced EFM / AWHONN Intermediate EFM - **Preferred:** - Experience with Massive Transfusion - Experience with PASD (Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders) **Typical Procedures:** - C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E - Twin deliveries (both C-section and SVD) - Scheduled and nonscheduled emergent C-Hysterectomy - Management of Massive Transfusion **Ideal Candidate Traits:** - Highly engaged and motivated - Positive outlook and intentional interactions - Team-oriented mindset **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: CST Sky Blue scrubs - Note: Adherence to dress code is essential **Why Choose This Unit?** - Self-scheduling that promotes teamwork - Highly engaged staff with a good mix of experienced and newer nurses - Strong relationships between physicians and staff - An engaged management team that actively rounds on night and weekend shifts **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
