Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Tulsa, OK
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Charting: Epic
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
- Triage obstetrical patients greater than 20 weeks gestation.
- Manage labor and assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries.
- Circulate for C-sections and provide post-operative recovery care.
- Monitor fetal heart rates using external and internal fetal monitoring.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Manage patients with preeclampsia, including Magnesium Sulfate therapy.
- Administer Pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, antihypertensives, and other medications as ordered.
- Perform sterile vaginal examinations and assess effacement, dilation, station, and presentation.
- Manage amnioinfusion and intrauterine pressure catheters.
- Provide postpartum and couplet care, including assessment of fundus, lochia, perineum, and C-section wounds.
- Manage postpartum hemorrhage and other obstetric emergencies.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
- No travel experience required.
- Active RN license; pending license not accepted.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
- AWHONN Intermediate and STABLE preferred.
- Epic experience required.
Experience with fetal monitoring, obstetric triage, vaginal delivery, C-section, postpartum care, and high-risk obstetrics.
