Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 36-40 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Opportunity to work with advanced maternal-fetal medicine cases and complex obstetrical conditions
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate high-risk experience

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetrical experience required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (required)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required)
• Proficiency in Epic electronic charting system and electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) required
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• Experience with newborn assessments, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, and newborn care procedures
• Ability to manage high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
