Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 1+ year of L&D experience and a CO or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00
• Various days of the week required
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call responsibilities required per unit needs
• Float required within the Women and Infant Unit and may include the greater metro region per facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Beginner certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, including assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and sterile vaginal exams
• Experience with fetal monitoring, medication administration (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives), and postpartum care preferred

Additional Information

• Navy scrub color required
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum phases
• Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal care in the delivery room
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Candidates previously employed by the health system within the last two years are not eligible
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local bill rate
