Travel Nursing Job Details

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid compact-state license; pending licenses are not accepted
• At least 2 years of recent, continuous Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic experience preferred
• Willingness to float to affiliated sites in Ontario and Bucyrus, Ohio, when needed
• Ability to participate in on-call coverage if assigned and arrive within one hour when called in
• Willingness to complete required pre-start learning modules through HealthStream, up to 8 hours
• Availability should account for limited time off during major holidays

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, and promptly identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments, assist with procedures, and support evidence-based clinical care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, newborn care teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after delivery
• Accurately document patient care and communicate effectively during handoffs
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide high-quality care when floating to affiliated locations
