Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend shifts required. Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3. Floating between units may be required. 48-hour weeks approved.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center designations
• High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with approximately 3,600 deliveries annually, including high-risk maternal-fetal medicine patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided

• Opportunity to work with advanced procedures including insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, cerclages, versions, and cardiac patients

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with high-risk Labor and Delivery, including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active labor management, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
• Proficiency in comprehensive L&D skills including cesarean sections, neonatal resuscitation, hemorrhage management, and fetal monitoring
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
