Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in various aspects of labor and delivery, as well as post-partum care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cervical exams and manage antepartum and labor care.
• Administer amnio infusions and epidurals as required.
• Perform fetal monitoring and maintain IV therapies, including Pitocin administration.
• Circulate C-sections and participate in baby catching/receiving with knowledge of APGAR scoring.
• Provide support and education for breastfeeding.
• Deliver comprehensive post-partum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring.
• Strong experience in L&D procedures and patient care.
• Scrub experience is a plus, though not required.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly Epic, is strongly preferred.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Russian or Spanish, are preferred.

Unit Information

The facility features a total of 20 beds, including 12 for Labor and Delivery, 8 for Post-Partum/Antepartum care, and a 6-bed Level II NICU. There are also 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 Operating Rooms on-site.

• No on-call requirements.
• Teal scrubs will be provided for all nursing staff.
• Consideration for first-time travelers is available.
