Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate/Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong clinical background in obstetric, maternal, and newborn care
• Ability to work night shifts and provide dependable weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum transitions
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric situations
• Perform fetal monitoring, triage, IV management, medication administration, and labor support
• Support newborn care, including immediate assessment and stabilization when needed
• Document accurately in Cerner and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a busy Labor & Delivery environment
