Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and adult recovery services
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 1 year of high-risk L&D experience
• 91-day assignment with 36-40 hours of orientation
• Compact license accepted across all facilities

Requirements:

• Active Washington State or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience with high-risk patient populations required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience and electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) required
• Must be proficient in circulating for C-sections and providing newborn care including Vitamin K injections, eye prophylaxis, and comprehensive newborn assessments
• Experience with 1:1-2 patient ratios in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Ability to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
