Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and 2 years of travel experience.

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school required, BSN or MSN preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA only

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of L&D patients, from routine to complex cases
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and update physician orders
• Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered (no local candidates)
• Returning travelers may extend contracts one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; candidates must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance and complete onboarding promptly
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role given the required travel experience
