Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Fullerton, CA 92835

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Fullerton, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Patient ratio 1:2. Weekend coverage required, potentially exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs. Must be available to work 3 of 5 major holidays.

Highlights:

• 320-bed acute care hospital with a busy Labor and Delivery unit averaging 6-8 deliveries per day
• 13 labor rooms with 15 total beds and 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Diverse patient population including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, and high-risk antepartum cases
• 91-day assignment with 36-40 hours of paid orientation

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required - hardstop), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Expert-level competency performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision (hardstop requirement)
• Triage experience required (hardstop requirement)
• Willingness to float to Mother Baby unit as needed
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
