Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available.

Highlights:

• High-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• Comprehensive unit featuring 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average of 7 deliveries daily, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Charge experience preferred, with training opportunities available for qualified candidates
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Free parking and Epic charting system

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• First-time travelers accepted
