Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with strong experience in maternal and newborn care. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and certifications to provide high-quality care during the labor and delivery process and throughout the postpartum period.

Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams and manage labor and antepartum patients.
• Administer amnio infusions, epidurals, IVs, and Pitocin as needed.
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and maintain fetal monitoring throughout labor.
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with baby catching and receiving.
• Conduct APGAR assessments and provide breastfeeding education and support.
• Deliver comprehensive postpartum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring are required.
• Strong competencies in labor management, neonatal assessments, and postpartum care.
• Scrub experience is a bonus, though Scrub Tech support is available on site.
• Comfort with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
• Multilingual candidates (especially Russian/Spanish) are preferred.

Facility Information

• Total Beds: 20 (12 Labor & Delivery, 8 Postpartum/Antepartum, 6 Level II NICU)
• Supporting team includes Nurse Practitioners and an on-site Scrub Tech.

General Information

This position does not require on-call duty. Teal scrubs will be provided. We welcome applications from first-time travelers willing to support our patient community.
