Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 182-day assignment through May 17, 2027.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• 4 operating rooms supporting all types of high-risk deliveries including cesarean sections
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Orientation provided: 36-40 hours

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Must have experience functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and providing newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard requirement)
• Proficiency in Epic electronic charting system and electronic fetal monitoring required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Competency with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
