Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: January 4, 2027

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 labor rooms
• Comprehensive patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Four operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
• Average daily census of 15-17 patients with staffing following AWHONN guidelines
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• 26-week assignment with competitive travel nursing benefits and support

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required; high-risk experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop); electronic fetal monitoring experience mandatory
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections (hard stop requirement)
• Competency in newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities as needed
• First-time travelers accepted; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
