Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and MA licensure.

Details

• 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 RRs, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• 5 LD rooms and 12 PP beds with an average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• Clinician to patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evals, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium gtt or epidural patients; PP 1:3-4
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Primarily a Day rotation position with rotation to Evenings and Nights as needed; straight Days not available
• No floating required
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule with night shifts (19:00-07:30) and every other weekend

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Skill sets required: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulating, and Newborn Care
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current EFM certification required (renewed every 2 years for L&D), NCC, K2, or AWHONN accepted
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery settings
• Perform circulating duties as needed within the unit
• Local candidates accepted with a required permanent residence of at least 60 miles from the facility
