Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience and a CA RN license in hand.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required between like units
- Uses Epic EMR
- Scrubs of any color accepted, with L&D and OR scrubs provided
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA City Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
- Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any license or background check issues upfront, as open license hits will not be approved
- Free parking is available on-site
