Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available.

• High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• State-of-the-art unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average of 7 daily deliveries with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 35-40 hours of paid orientation
• Opportunity for charge nurse training for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand for expedited processing; pending licenses accepted for initial submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
• Epic charting system experience required
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Ability to float to similar units as needed
