Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550 births per month and 31 patient rooms
• Comprehensive care environment supporting midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services for substance recovery
• Four operating rooms providing full-spectrum obstetric services including high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and qualifications
• Six-month assignment with 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Must be proficient in functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and providing newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Proficiency in Epic charting system and electronic fetal monitoring required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with newborn assessments, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, and managing high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
