Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN license and circulating/scrubbing for C-sections.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit assignment
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• 1:6 patient ratio, may float to facilities with higher volumes
• Required to float within a network of five hospitals based on staffing needs
• May be required to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Circulate and scrub for C-sections
• Block scheduling not permitted

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (PC required, iOS not compatible), limited to two attempts
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
• Local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
