Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level III high-risk hospital, requiring 2.5-3 years of L&D experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a Level III high-risk hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May float to the High-Risk OB unit (16 rooms), caring for early inductions, antepartum, and continuous monitoring patients
• May float to up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals within scope of practice, though floating is uncommon for this position
• Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• 2.5-3 years of recent L&D experience required, with experience within the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (max two attempts, PC required)
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit

• Provide nursing care for antepartum and high-risk antepartum patients
• Scrubs provided by hospital
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local rate offered
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required at time of submission with no exemptions
• RTO must be submitted with the profile; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
