Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), 26-week assignment. Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Daily census of 15-20 patients across 11 rooms/15 beds.

• Gain experience circulating on cesarean sections and supporting vaginal deliveries
• Postpartum experience preferred; opportunity to expand skills in Labor and Delivery
• 40-hour paid orientation to ensure successful onboarding
• Interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of relevant experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in essential L&D skills including fetal monitoring, epidural management, Pitocin administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, cesarean section circulation, and newborn assessment
• Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required
