Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 16:00). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation
• Work with a culturally diverse patient population in a facility that provides high-risk obstetric care
• Average daily census of 15-20 patients with approximately 20 visits per day
• 11 rooms and 15 beds in the unit; postpartum experience preferred
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive labor and delivery care
• First-time travelers accepted; opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1-3 patients
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and breastfeeding support
• Ability to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
